Fonthill is an elegant and comfortable villa residence, set in quarter of an acre in the centre of Nairn. It is an ideal location, 200 metres from the town and 400 metres from the beach. The house was named after Fonthill Abbey, one of England's most famous Palladion houses, and sits pleasantly between two churches.

We offer classically decorated, warm, non-smoking private accommodation, with at-the-door parking, own entrance with a comfortable lounge and dining area. Three superb bedrooms are available: a superior double en suite in the main house, and a double and a twin with a luxury shower room and wc in a self-contained annexe with separate entrance.

All rooms have tea/coffee, shortbread, TV, clock/radio and books. They are all comfortably furnished.

A traditional Scottish breakfast is provided and all food is prepared with fresh local produce and cooked to your requirements. Fresh ground coffee, Scottish tea and home-made jam complement a good, value-for-money breakfast.

Fonthill is ideally situated just off the A96 Inverness to Aberdeen road, close to the centre of Nairn and within a stone's throw of a variety of local restaurants, pubs, the harbour and beaches.

Nairn also offers easy access to Loch Ness, Culloden Battlefield, Fort George, Cawdor Castle, Brodie Castle and two championship golf courses, one of which hosted the 1999 Walker Cup. It is a perfect base for touring.
